I recently found myself in a dental emergency with a painful tooth infection. Luckily, I stumbled upon this dental clinic, and I couldn't be more grateful for the exceptional care I received. Firstly, the fact that they were available on a Sunday was a lifesaver. So grateful for Dr. Spero!! I had a a dental emergency and he took me in during closed office hours to take care of me. I had a badly infected tooth and he was able to remove it and get me started on antibiotics right away. I am 36 weeks pregnant so I was nervous to go in but he comforted me and reassured me my baby would be safe. I have a phobia of the dentist and he really helped me feel at ease.
I came to Pasadena Smiles and never smiled. I came for a teeth cleaning 2 months ago. To put it short, this place is just looking for quick money by deceiving customers into thousands of dollars in unnecessary work. I was told that they couldn’t perform a routine cleaning on me because I needed a “deep cleaning” (aka periodontal cleaning) and needed numbing with a shot with some local anesthesia. Plus I apparently needed wisdom teeth pulled, a root canal (for a tooth that I felt ZERO pain with), and 4 cavities removed. Afte... read more
Dr. Spero made himself available for a care consultation on a Friday night. After making sure I was in a stable enough condition to wait until Monday morning, he gave me clear recommendations on how to weather the weekend. Once he got me in as a patient, he explained with compassion and great detail his methods providing me the care I needed. I came across Dr. Sparo during an emergent need. I thought he would be a good fit because I informed him of my past dentist trauma and he had been understanding. I brought my son along for his care during my follow up, it was a huge mistake. First day impression was good but then his motivation became apparent (money). I thought since I started the work there I would have to continue. The price kept changing and by that I mean kept going up.
